Hello, Party People! Christine is an event management professional and party stylist with over 15 years of experience. She enjoys creating memorable event experiences, and making everyday occasions and celebrations beautiful and unique.
What makes you stand out from the crowd? This can be a talent, life-experience, unique hobby.
My enthusiasm, love for people, and creating authentic experiences for family, loved ones and clients is unmatched! I have a passion for making every detail special and find inspiration daily from a trip to the local antique store to finding something in nature that appeals to me. Fashion, Interior Design, and my love for getting people to “connect” is what truly motivates me.
What is one experience that has shaped you to be the person you are today, and what advice would you give your younger self?
My first experience into the workforce when I was hired as an intern in the Training & Events department for Chanel, Fragrance Division. Walking through the gigantic doors with the iconic logo and looking over onto Madison Ave. in NYC is a moment that I will never forget! In that moment, I knew that this girl from a small town was about to discover and learn so much! I am forever grateful for that opportunity and I made so many connections there that started my journey into the world of events. Have you seen Devil Wears Prada? I can say with certainty that movie is based off accurate events in the fashion world.
What is your most memorable childhood experience? (This can be good or bad)
Christmas Eve was always such a memorable experience as a child. My Grandmother and I shared our birthdays on this day and my Grandpa would always take us to the fanciest restaurants, where I always insisted on the chicken nuggets. Later, my Mother would always have an open house with our friends and family, and the party would just finish before Santa came. She always had a beautiful spread, snowman decorations galore and everyone in town would stop by and engage in the festivities! Christmas Eve was always special and magical growing up!
What is the biggest challenge you have ever faced and how did you overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges was the decision to leave a job that I loved after 14 years. The pandemic prompted that decision, but it was a hard one to make without knowing what the future would hold. I think sometimes we get too comfortable where we are and need a little “push” to do something different. Taking the last year off to just breathe, rediscover myself, travel to see loved ones and be present with my loved ones is the most precious gift that I could have given myself.
What is the best $100 you recently spent? On what and why? (personal or professional)
A bracelet for a dear friend for her 4oth birthday celebration!
What is one book that you recommend our audience should read and why?
The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. After being diagnosed with terminal cancer, the author asks the reader to answer some very important questions. What do you want your legacy to be? What matters most to you? It is good reminder to be grateful for the time we all have because it may be shorter than we think.
What is your favorite quote?
“It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive. -― Oriah Mountain Dreamer, The Invitation
